How to pack
Jewelry and collectibles?
Jewelry and collectible items are not covered by our insurance:
1. This includes rings, necklaces, bracelets, and watches.
2. Also covers items like antiques and portraits.
3. Includes all types of artwork.
4. Money is also not insurable.
Box Assembly
1. Fold down the small flaps first.
2. Next, fold the larger flaps on top of them.
3. Tape the larger flaps securely into place.
4. Make sure the bigger flaps completely cover the smaller ones.
Electricals
1. Ensure a minimum of 5cm of padding surrounds each device.
2. Leave at least 5cm of space between different items.
3. When you can, use the item's original packaging.
4. Remove any toner or ink cartridges from printers.
5. Please note: we cannot accept scanners or combined printer/scanners.
Padding
1. Every solid item needs at least 5cm of protective padding on all sides before being boxed.
Liquids?
We’re not able to store or ship any liquids. That includes:
1. Toiletries like shampoo, nail polish, creams, and lens solution.
2. All food and drink products.
3. Ink or toner for printers.
4. Oils, fuels, and aerosols.
Remains?
We’re unable to store or move human or animal remains under any circumstances.
Food products?
We do not accept food or edible products for storage or shipment. Examples include:
1. Items like pasta, seeds, grains, noodles, or protein powder.
2. Dried ingredients like spices and herbs.
3. Any fresh produce.
4. Meats, vegetables, plants, and seafood.
Batteries?
Batteries of any type cannot be stored or shipped. This includes:
1. Laptop battery packs.
2. Devices with integrated batteries.
3. Regular batteries.
4. Batteries for phones, cameras, etc.
Glassware and crockery
1. Use 5cm of cushioning around each individual item.
2. Keep 5cm of padding between items to avoid contact.
Paperwork and files
Our book boxes are perfect for documents:
1. Designed to fit A4 folders neatly.
2. Sturdy enough to hold heavy papers.
Combustibles?
We cannot transport or hold flammable items. These include:
1. Solid or liquid fuels.
2. All lighters (full or empty).
3. Aerosol spray containers.
4. Canisters of gas.
Drugs?
We do not handle or store any medications or drugs due to legal restrictions.
Packing Boxes
1. Fill each box fully so nothing shifts around inside.
2. A box that rattles when shaken isn’t packed correctly.
3. Fragile or smaller things should be placed into smaller containers first.
